Manuka Honey MGO83+

MANUKA HONEY MGO 514+

R.G.S.E.A.A.: 23.005068/MU

250 grams of almost legendary Manuka Honey, from the wild native Manuka tree (Leptospermum Scoparium) of New Zealand.

Harvested: during a 2-6 week period, typically in the summer.

The Manuka harvest begins in the north of New Zealand (September) and ends in the south (January-February), except for some areas with altitude.

Individual flowers may only be open for 5/6 days –– making it a very short window for bees to collect nectar from the Manuka flower.

Origin: 100% New Zealand Mono-Floral Manuka Honey.

Altitude:  The Manuka bush thrives from coastal cliffs battered by salt spray to mountainous areas up to 2,000 metres above sea level.

The specific growing conditions of each region influence the composition of the nectar and concentration of beneficial compounds in the resulting Manuka honey.

Strength

The strength of Manuka honey to use depends on your needs. MGO stands for Methylglyoxal which is the key organic compound responsible for Manuka honey's strong antibacterial properties.

If you are looking to boost your daily health and wellbeing, or support your skin health, choose a lower grade of Manuka honey.

For more specific conditions, such as supporting wound healing, topical application, to help for skin conditions, digestive and gut issues, or support other treatments use higher MGO-grade honey.
